How many hashtags per post in 2026
Instagram has allowed at most 5 hashtags per post and reel since December 2025 — it used to be 30. That’s why the generator picks the five best for you. On Facebook hashtags work less well — 2–3 are enough. On LinkedIn also 2–3, factual and related to your industry.
Which hashtags to choose
- General — broad topics people follow (e.g. #skincare, #shopping). They bring reach, but it’s easy to get lost in them.
- Niche — narrower ones describing your offer and the post topic. These usually bring people who are genuinely interested.
- Local — with the name of your town or city. For a clinic, salon or high-street shop they are often the most important.
Avoid hashtags like “follow4follow” or “like4like” — platforms treat them as spam. The generator doesn’t suggest them.
How the generator works
We pass the topic, industry and town to an AI model with one task: suggest hashtags in English, without special characters and without spam. We then check the result again on our side — only valid hashtags remain. We don’t store what you enter in the form.

How many hashtags should I add on Instagram?
At most 5 — Instagram introduced this limit in December 2025. The generator gives you a ready set of five.
Do hashtags with accented letters work?
Yes, hashtags can contain accented letters. Just make sure they have no spaces or special characters.
Do I have to give a town or city?
No. The town is only needed for local hashtags — without it, that group will be empty.
How many times can I use the tool?
Up to 10 times an hour and 30 times a day from one address. All the free tools also share a daily limit — once it runs out, just come back the next day.
